Pluralization in English are pretty easy to accomplish (as opposed to Hausa) with a few basic rules. One can usually add s to a word (hathats); if the word ends with an o, usually add es (heroheroes); same as if the word ends with s, x, z, ch, or sh (glassglasses, churchchurches, boxboxes, bushbushes). Hausa plurals on the other hand, although there is a system to their formation, i.e. some patterns can emerge, their overall picture can be complex and confusing.
