Zainab Babaji: Religious leaders in Plateau State have called upon the community to come together without discrimination in order to overcome the low-lives that are taking the lives of innocent people. In recent days there was a bomb explosion in the mosque where Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir was giving the Ramadan sermon [exegesis of the Qur'an] that resulted in many deaths, and a bomb that was placed in the ECWA Church in Tudun Wada here in Jos which, thanks to God, did not kill anyone. According to the president of the leadership council of the organization IZALA, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, the approach that the attackers are taking are varied, and thus he called upon the people to pay attention.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir: To, alhamdulilahi na ƙara godiya wa Allah mai girma da ɗaukaka wanda ya zauna da mu a wannan ƙasar mai albarka ta Nijeriya mai yawan al’umma. Karewar tsaro ya kawo mana matsaloli dayawa ciki na kan gaba sai aka samu cibiyar ci-gaban al’umma aka nema a hana shi ne karatu. Aka samu wata ƙungiya tana kiran kanta Boko Haram saboda kariyawa tsaro. Sun ba mutane ... sun kashe a firamare sun kashe a kasuwa sun kashe a masalaci sun kashe a coci. To, babban magana shi ne mu haɗa hannu gaba ɗaya. Kamar yadda Allah ya ce [ARABIC]. Ku taimake ni a kan aiki nagarta da tsoron Allah kar ku taimaka a junanku a kan aikin laifi da ta’addanci. Haka Alƙur’ani ya faɗa. To sai mu lura duk gaba ɗayanmu, mu bai wa gwamnati haɗin kai, mu ma mu zamanto kowa a gidansa da ɗansa da matarsa da haularsa sekuritin gwamnati ne mai zaman kansa. Suna fito wa mutane a tsari na ba-zata. Mi ne ba-zata? Ka ga mutum kana zaton ɗan alheri ne. Ashe, macuci ne. Ranka ma yake nema. To, don haka kenan sun sanya mu masu ba ida ga kowane irin mutum. Mu ‘yan jihar filato ɗin mu Musulumi da Kiristoci da maza da mata da kabila kaza da kabila kaza wanda ba su ga maciji da. To, wannan shi ne tsarin da muke bi, mu haɗo kanmu ga yanda za a yi a zauna lafiya.		Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir: OK, praise be to God and again thanks to the most high God who dwells with us in this blessed country of Nigeria with its many people. The collapse of security has brought us many problems. The first amongst these is an attempt to prevent a central element of our societal progress: education. We have this organization that calls itself Boko Haram to destroy security. They gave people ... they killed them in the primary school, they killed them in the market, they killed them in the mosque, they killed them in the church. So the important point is this, we should join hands together as one. As God said [ARABIC]. Help me in working for good with the fear of God, do not help each other to commit crimes and terrorism. This is what the Qur’an says. So, we should take notice, all of us, and give our government our cooperation, and each of us should become, everyone in his home, his son, his wife, his progeny, [should become] independent government security. They sent out people without warning. What is without warning? You see, a person expects that it is a good person. Alas, it is a villain. He is seeking your very life. So, because of this, they have rendered us suspicious of every type of person. We Plateau State citizens, Muslims and Christians, men and women, and this ethnicity and that ethnicity who never had disagreements in the past. Well, this is the approach that we are following, we are joining together so that there will be peace.

Hassan Umar Tambuwal: Sheik Khalid Usman Khalid Abukurawi, who led this year’s sermon in Oyo State, made this statement on behalf of the national IZALA organization during the closing of this year’s sermon in the central mosque that is in the Bodija neighborhood of Ibadan.
Sheik Khalid Usman Khalid: Ƙungiyar Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna ta ce a tunatar da mu, lokacin da muka ɗaga hannunumu za mu dangwala ƙuri’a, duk wanda muka zaɓa tun daga kai shugaban ƙasa har zuwa ƙasa, mun ce ga amanan addininmu mun ba ka. Ga amanan jininmu mun ba ka. Ga amananmu dukiyarmu mun ba ka. Ga amanana lafiyarmu mun ba ka. Ga amanan iliminmu mun ba ka. Duk wata rayuwarmu amana ne a hannunka, kai shugaban ƙasa, kai gwamnan jiha, kai ɗan majalisar tarayya, kai ɗan majalisar dattijai, kai ɗan majalisar jiha. Mun damka musu waɗanan amanoni.		Sheik Khalid Usman Khalid: The organization Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna ([Arabic] Society of Removal of Innovation and Reestablishment of the Sunna) says to remind us that when we raise our hand and mark our ballot, whoever we elect from the president on down, we are saying we entrust you with our religion. We entrust you with our bodies. We entrust you with our wealth. We entrust you with our health. We entrust you with our education. Each of our lives is something that we have entrusted to your hands, you president of the country, you state governor, you national representative, you senator, you state assembly member. We have entrusted you with these things.
To ƙungiyar Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna ta ce za mu zama manya-manyan azzalumai idan ba mu ci gaba da taimaka musu da ad’uwa ba. Wajibi ne a kanmu yanzu, umurni daga ƙungiyar Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna musamman cikin wannan wata mai albarka watan Ramadan. Musammam wannan goma na ƙarshe, mu kaskantar da kanmu fiye da yadda muka yi da. Mu kaskantar da kanmu zuwa ga Allah mu nemi taimakon Allah. Mu roƙi Allah ya taimaki Shugaban ƙasa Buhari da mataimakinshi. Da gwamnoninmu na jihohi, Allah ya ba su ikon sauƙe wannan nauyi da muka ɗora musu cikin aminci. Allah ya dawo da tattalin arzikin Nijeriya ya zama fiye da da, fiye da lokacin Yakubu Gowon. Ya zama fiye da lokacin Sardauna da Tafawa Balewa. Mu ci gaba da roƙon Allah. Shi Allah, ba abinda za ka roƙeshi ya ce ya yi yawa. Shi Allah fushi yake da ke ma in ba ka roƙonshi.		Well, the organization Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna says we will be the worst of sinners if we do not continue to help them with our prayers. It is required now, a directive from the organization Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna especially in this blessed month of Ramadan, especially in these final ten [days], that we humble ourselves more than we have done in the past. That we humble ourselves to God and ask for God’s help. That we call on God to help President Buhari and his vice president. And the state governors, may God give them the strength to discharge this duty that we have placed on them in faith. May God return the Nigerian economy so that it becomes better than before, better then the time of Yakubu Gowon. That it becomes better than the time of the Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa. Let’s continue to ask God. There is nothing that we can ask God for about which he will say that it is too much. God is in fact angry when we don’t ask him for help.
Shugaban ƙungiyar Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna na ƙasa Sheik Abdulahi Bala Bini Zakariya na Ibelau, ya ce lallai ne yana mana umurni, ba shawara yake ba mu ba. Umurni yake mana. Kafin mu roƙa wa kanmu abu ɗaya, mu roƙa wa shugaban ƙasa Buhari, da gwamnoni da muka zaɓa, mu roƙa musu goma tukuna. Ya ce a matsayinshi na shugaban Sunna, ba wai ya faɗi wanna da son rai ba ne. Ya yi koyi ne da imamu Ahl as-sunnah Imam Ahmad Ɗan Hanbali. Wanda Imamu Ahmad ɗan Hanbali ya ce da Allah zai sanar da shi ya ce ya ba shi addu’a guda ɗaya, wacce in ya yi Allah zai amsa nan take, Imamu Ahmad ɗan Hanbali ya ce to ba kanshi zai yi wannan addu’an ba tunda guda ɗaya ce ba wata. Shugabanci zai yi wa. Domin in shugabanci ya ci nasara, ya ci nasara. In shugabanci ya faɗi, shi ya faɗi.		The president of the national organization of Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna, Sheik Abdulahi Bala Bini Zakariya of Ibelau, says he is truly giving us a directive, not a request. It is a directive. Before we ask one thing for ourselves, we should pray for President Buhari and the governors that we elected ten times first. He said that in his position as the leader of the Sunna, this is not something he is saying for personal gain. He learned from the Imam of Sunni Islam Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. And this Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said that if God were to give him one prayer which God would answer immediately, Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said that he would not use that prayer for himself since there was just one and no other. He would do it for the leadership. Because if the leaders succeed, he succeeds. If the leaders fail, he fails.
Saboda haka, yaku ‘yan Nijeriya. Shugaban ƙungiyar Jama't Izalat al Bid'a Wa Iqamat as Sunna ya ce mu san wannan: In shugaban ƙasa ya ci nasara, dukkanmu mun ci nasara. In shugaban ƙasa ya faɗi, mun faɗi.		So come on Nigerians. The president of the organization IZALA says to know this: If the president of the country succeeds, we all succeed. If the president of the country fails, we all fail.

Zainab Babaji: Also, the assistant secretary of the national ECWA congregation Reverend Eliza Baba said that in their role as religious leaders that God has given them the responsibility of educating their followers on the steps to follow in order to strengthen the community in such a manner that they can live together in peace.
Eliza Baba: Dama ne wanda Ubangiji ya bamu a matsayin shuwagabani mu koma, mu bada ilimi ga ‘yan’uwanmu, ga mabiyanmu. Akwai ‘yan’uwana wa ma son Salla. Zai zama da wuya in ɗauka adda in ce zan saresu. Ka gan, akwai ganewa cewa ni ɗan’uwansu ne. Lokacin bukukuwa ban gan abinda ya ... zai hana ni in gayyaci mai salla ya zo mu yi bikin tare. In Christmas ne ko, shi a lokacin salla ya gayyaceni mu zo mu yi zama lafiya tare, mu yi biki tare, mu mu ji daɗi, mu yi rayuwa tare. Ba abinda ya wuce wannan. Wanda ba ku amince da shi ba. Ka gaya ma hukuma. Wanda ya zo yana kusa da kai a cikin Iklisiya, ba ka yarda da shi ba in ma ya kawo wani abu, ya ajiye. Ka tambaye shi ... in ka ga ya tashi ... ka tambaye shi "Mine ne ka ajiye a nan. Zo ka ɗauka ka tafi." Ya kamata mu ... mu zama masu tsaron kanmu. Mu kuma taimaki su polisawa, su sojojin da Allah ya bamu.		Eliza Baba: It is an opportunity that the Lord gave us as leaders to return, to educate our brothers and sisters, and our followers. I have brothers and sisters who love to pray. It would be difficult for me to pick up a machete and say that I was going to cut them. You see, there is an understanding that I am their brother. During celebrations, I do not see anything that it ... would prevent me from inviting a praying person to celebrate together. If it is Christmas, and he invites me during the holiday to come and be at peace together, to celebrate together, to be happy, to share our lives together,  [then] there is nothing more important than that. Whoever you are not OK with, tell the authorities. Whoever comes and is close to you in the church, and you do not like the looks of him. If he brings something in and leaves it, ask him ... if you see him get up ... ask him "What did you leave here? Come get it and go." We ... we should take charge of our own security. And we should help the police and soldiers that God has given us.
