kiwo
[ki/wo"] {n.m.}.
1. Tending and feed ng, &c., of animals. e.g. ya/ yi kiwan dokinsa da kyau, he looked well-after his horse.
2. Grazing. e.g. dokinsa yina kiwo a fadama, his horse is grazing in the low-lying ground.
3. Being afraid of, standing in awe of. e.g. nna kiwon (kiwan) wa/ne, I am afraid of so-hand-so. 'dan sarki, abin k., the son of any one in an official position is one not to be treated lightly. (= (alt. D.) kiyo; vide kiyaya.)
kiwon 'dan makwarwa
[ki/wa"n 'da+m ma+kwa+r+wa/+] {n.m.}. Providing for a step- or grand-child.
kiwon lafiya
[ki/wa"n la/+fi/+ya"] {n.m.}. Look ing well and properly after oneself in all matters pertaining to health and general well-being.
kiwon tsawo
[ki/wa"n tsa+wo/+] {n.m.}. Under feeding.
