Masha Allah! Indeed my Lord has vast knowledge. And in fact he is the Almighty creator of knowledge, every single moments creating new knowledges. A Siddiqui's Reflection via QuranReflect.com

I used to read this ayah and think that it simply meant that Allah has a vast amount of knowledge, but I always felt something was missing in my understanding because the ayah specifically mentioned the "words" of Allah, not just His "knowledge". I did a little bit of research and it was a random comment that caused me to ponder this ayah in a new light. Then I began to wonder how we could apply this ayah to our daily lives. Allah tells us that if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean were ink, refilled by seven other oceans, the Words of Allah would not be exhausted. Allah, at the very minimum, knows all of the words that have ever existed in the world. This includes every single language. This includes the unique combination of all those words to create sentences. The amount of actual words Allah knows is way beyond our comprehension. When Allah sent the revelation down, He chose very specific, unchanging words to include in His final book to mankind. He had an infinite number of words and combination of words to choose from, but He chose a small number of very specific words to include in the Quran. The sentences are combined in a very specific manner. These words and their order are unchangeable. This is really something to think about when we read, study, and reflect upon the Quran. Every single word is to be taken very seriously. Every single word is very heavy. None of it is to be taken lightly. Every individual word and the way it is placed in the Quran was chosen by Allah. Knowing this, how can we approach the Quran quickly and mindlessly without giving due respect to each word? Stop and ponder every ayah. Allow it to transform you. Imam @FadelSoliman, in an amazing series he did on how to reflect upon the Quran, quotes a poem by Muhammad Iqbal: “The Qur’an is the book of books. The Qur’an is a book that can change the world. Because it can change the human being. And when the human being changes, The world will change.” Don't underestimate your ability to change the world. It begins by approaching the Quran in a way that allows your heart to be transformed. May Allah allow us to recognize the immense power of the words which He has blessed us with and may He allow us to approach the Quran in a manner that will revive the hearts and transform the world.

Muhammad Riad Ibnul Lal Sharif's comment

Masha Allah! Indeed my Lord has vast knowledge. And in fact he is the Almighty creator of knowledge, every single moments creating new knowledges. If we look in the modern technology, computer is a fruit of modern science and technology. And whoever knows a little about computer, it is just a logic of 1 & 0's. And if we ponder upon deeply in the matter of this logic, we may imagine, how many computers are in this earth we are using every single moments, how many bits are calculated in once every single moments. A 64-bit processor can reference 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 values [techterms.com]. And every single bits and every single value is controlled by Allah Rabbul Izza, on every single computer independently in the same time. And not only that every seed in the surface to every sand dust, my Lord knows where it is. He sends the air to carry them one place to another, Todays sand dune in a desert may will be shifted in somewhere else in few hours. Indeed my lord is all competent over all things. I praise him with beautiful praises, praises with blessings and in abundance. And thank him with beautiful thanking's.

M Umar Uppal's Reflection via QuranReflect.com

The "infinity" for us exists only potentially, never practically. It exists only in theory. In mathematical calculations too when we say that a number is infinity, it only means that it is too large for our comprehension. The stars aren't infinite in number, they are only too many for our ability of counting & observation. The grains of sand on Earth are not infinite, they are only too many for us. The irrational number of "pi" does not go on for infinity, this is we who are unable to completely know the full thing even after having calculated it to trillions of digits. The knowledge of Allah encompasses all that we consider infinite. The knowledge of Allah is absolute & infinite. The knowledge of Allah contains the number, locations and conditions of all the atoms that make up everything & all the stars. It contains the number of grains of sand on all the planets, stars & those roaming around in the space. It contains the ultimate end of the calculation of "pi". Indeed, even if the water of the seas become ink, and then it is doubled - that too is insufficient to write down this much information.
